Terms of Service

Contravity provides AI-powered commercial contract analysis to help businesses identify commercial risks, revenue leakage, and areas for negotiation in their service agreements. The service is operated by a Latvian registered company. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.

Contravity provides commercial and business advisory analysis only. It does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or formal legal opinions. The output of any scan is for informational and commercial decision-support purposes only. You should seek independent legal advice from a qualified solicitor or lawyer before signing, amending, or relying on any contract. See our full disclaimer for further detail.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or use the service to analyse documents on behalf of third parties for commercial resale without our prior written consent.

You may use Contravity only for lawful commercial purposes. You must not upload documents you do not have the right to share, attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent the service, use automated scripts to abuse the free tier, or interfere with the platform's infrastructure.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly basis. The Starter plan is a one-time purchase. Pro and higher plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Each plan includes a monthly scan allowance as described on the pricing page. Unused scans do not roll over to the following month. We reserve the right to apply fair use limits to prevent abuse, including rate limiting anonymous usage and throttling accounts that generate an unusually high volume of requests in a short period.

You retain ownership of all contract documents you upload. By uploading a document, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process its text content for the purpose of providing the analysis. We may use anonymised and aggregated analysis outputs to improve our internal models and clause library. We will never share identifiable contract content with third parties except where required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Contravity's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the service shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or loss-of-business damages arising from your use of or reliance on the service. This limitation does not affect any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

We aim to maintain a high level of availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Latvian courts, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
